  Magnificent location in a rather secluded corner of the island. The "mouth of the wind" is what the name implies. Facing straigh west, it's a gorgeous place for sunsets. From Bahrija, walk or drive down to the small parking lot. Have a map (offline or online) as it's possible to take the wrong turn and end up somewhere else. From the parking lot, you can walk to the white rock formation toward east and walk all the way along the hill and down to the rock beach. It's a rather steep but possible hike that requires nothing special but good shoes and balance. You can swim there as long as you bring rubber beach shoes, as the rocks might be (like everywhere in Malta) sharp and difficult to walk on. Do not plan to leave much later than sunset, because climbing back up in the dark would not be fun, and in the months of March, April and November, December... it gets cold quickly after the sun goes down. It is "possible" to reach Fomm ir Rih from Il-Gnejna passing around or by Ras il Pellegrin and up on the main road, then down through uncharted paths; I've done it, and I'm still here to write about it; but I'm not suggesting you should be as adventurous as I have been in the name of raw exploration.

  Best to visit when see is calm. Otherwise you want enjoy it. Place is calm and you will find very few people in there, or probably none. You can not find any bar or food services there, so you have to prepare and take anything with you. Especially drinkable water. It is about 15 min of walk from the car parking to the beach.
