  Yeah it was a nice hotel, when I was first time in Malta I stayed there, nice house keeping service and the view from the balcony was amazing. It is in the heart of Malta St. Julian's where you can wonder around the streets, very beautiful and party place and to spend your vacation there. There are few Halal restaurants are available on walking distance.

  We stayed for 3 weeks in August and were disappointed upon arrival the room we were given. The view from the balcony was the flats next door and seeing everyone carry on with their personal business, so we asked for another room. We paid an extra for the upgrade and the room was a lot better, we had a view of the casino and the water, it was delightful. Chrisabell was delightful and very helpful, she is truly an asset to the hotel. We accepted this room as there was no other. The room however had issues 516, when you enter the room it smells of mould, the smell didn't disappear, so we held our breath each time we entered the room. The shower glass needs repair as it dangerous, each time you shower the room fills up with water from the shower. The fridge does not keep items cold although the setting is on max, the door shelf is broken, you can't place anything in the door as it falls out, the chair has no bottom, when you sit in it you sink. The door on the cupboard of the door fridge needs a new hinge as the door sits lopsided and the pillows were flat as paper. Tthe breakfast had the same variety each day, the Chinese cook was abrupt and didn't look happy, the food was bland, the coffee was disgusting, the pastries didn't attract you to eat them, they were just thrown in the box, the fruit salad was out of a can and the fresh fruit was not sweet. There were 4 or 5 different breads available however the iconic Maltese bread was nowhere to be seen. The rooms should have tea/coffee facilities available and an iron board and iron as all the guests who are holidaying need these items. Instead you have to pay a deposit, what an inconvenience and room service you have to pay cash at the time of delivery. Our room was serviced daily however not much care was taken, there were a few times no towels were left and the floor was not cleaned each day. Overall the hotel promotes a 4 star service when really its a 2-3 star. Management need to revise their services and check the condition of their rooms before a customer is handed a key. No matter what reasons you provide in your response none are satisfactory as a 4 star hotel should not these issues.

  Answer to reply : you didn't replace the machine, I have been there yesterday. Just a lie. And I can assure you that I can use fitness machines in a proper and professional way ;) but in that condition of the equipment it is unfortunately not possible. Sorry to mention that, but it's the truth. You should be happy about the feedback and not insult your clients. I stayed for 2 nights on a business trip at this hotel. I didn't go to the breakfast so I can't tell if it is any good or not. Rooms: first impression was that it was really really big and I was positively surprised. After the second look I realized that it was only the size which was impressive. The room itself is in bad shape and it looks very old. The wall was dirty at some places where it needs definitely another paint. The mini bar was empty (as business traveler that's really bad :D). The bathroom was in an even worse shape, there were brown places at the bathtub and on the wall. The shower curtain was also yellow colored and a little brown at the end. I didn't really feel comfortable. The beds were 2 seperated beds together and too soft, as a single person traveling not really useful. Gym: the gym is the biggest joke I've ever seen. It is even very dangerous to use in my opinion as the machine for the back training didn't have something to sit on and the cables were already down to the steel! After each use there was a really unhealthy crack sound and I stopped immediately to use it. There is a bench press and some walking trainers to use. The weights are already rusty and your hands smell like old metal after use. If you look for a hotel with a gym, go somewhere else. Staff: the staff was quite friendly with some exceptions, but overall very helpful. That actually made me give 3 stars instead of 2 stars. Overall impression: on first look it seems to be a really nice hotel, but if you take a closer look it needs desperately a complete renovation of all facilities in there. Definitely not a golden tulip standard I know from other places in Europe.

  Great stay, and more than reasonable price for the service provided. Breakfast is an incredible included perk and they could easily charge 15 euros for it. The rooftop pool is small but a very nice addition.

  Stayed here for four nights. Not what I would consider a 4 star. Room-nice, spacious, clean. However walls stepper thin, you can hear other guests plugging in plugs and talking. Along with other noise early in the morning, it was like someone hitting pipes, not good. Breakfast -not sure how much extra we paid to have this included but I would definitely not pay again. Really disappointing. Pool-one of the filters we used when booking this hotel and it was closed when we were there. To sum it up, would I stay there again? No. In fact, our flights got cancelled and we had to stay in Malta for 3 extra nights and we moved hotel.
