The Hypogeum is an amazing piece of ancient history, definitely worth a visit! The tour lasted about an hour and was really interesting and very informative. The ticket prices may seem a little expensive but bear in mind you are contributing to the preservation of this amazing site.

Gdzieniegdzie można zauważyć malowidła-wzory i czerwone ornamenty. Skąpe oświetlenie potęguje tajemniczość tego miejsca dawnych pochówków i sprawowania kultu. Pobyt tam trwa okolo 30 minut. W "mojej"grupie zwiedzających było jedynie 5 osób. Normy dopuszczają tylko 8 grup do 10 osób dziennie, aby chronić ten zabytek. Niestety nie można też fotografować ani filmować. Hypogeum jest na liście światowego dziedzictwa UNESCO. Wspaniały obiekt dla koneserów i poszukiwaczy unikatowych zabytków.

You probably have no idea how important of an archaeological find this is. I didn't really understand it until I went here. It costs a lot to enter but the experience and understanding of what it is truly mind blowing when you realize just how old this site is. We were not allowed to take pictures. We were limited to a group of 10 people at a time entering. As I said before it is very expensive compared to other places. This is because of how fragile the site is. Visit if you have the means and want to know more about humans in the ancient world.

Amazing site. Thousands of years of work to excavate it originally. Amazing stonework for the period, and remarkably well preserved. Make sure to try booking well in advance as often they are completely full weeks beforehand. No photos allowed within the site itself but great audio tour that is actually open about the challenges we have in identifying purpose behind items left from periods where we have no written records.
