::All the banks in Malta have a bad service and HSBC is not and exception: they have a very bad service in general. I called their service to mark an appointment to open an bank account and they said that is not possible mark an appointment, that I should come for the bank and "first come, first served". As I was losing hours of work, I went to the bank 15 min before it opens, and when I get there they said that I need to go to other city cause there that they have the international services. So, I moved to the new bank and with all the documents necessary I still need to wait in a new line which I keep waiting for more than a hour. No respect with people. I am sure that they only have customers because it's a monopoly and they have no competition. Shame on you.

::Prepare to wait a lot as they have only two service lanes and often only one is working. If you are a foreigner and need to open a bank account you would have to wait around a month for an appointment because it's the only branch in Malta offering the service. And the documents they want from you...more complicated than opening a bank account in the UK...

::Avoid this bank! Nothing like the UK. Long waiting times every time. Last time I had a 45 mins wait for a 30 seconds answer, which they insisted I have to queue for.
