  Ripoff. We had to return the car at 5 AM. Ofcourse we had to fuel the day before and drive 15 min to the return spot of Sixt. The car was >99% full when returned. They charge 10 EUR for a small amount of fuel and an additional 10 EUR for administration fee.

  Malta office took money off my credit card despite me having paid everything upfront and paying for all of the extra insurances! Rude staff too. I wont use them again.

  I rented in September 17 a Toyota Yaris there. The car was in a very bad shape with multiple scratches, damages bumpers etc... After an incident I returned the car with additional scratches on the side. The agent freeked out and tried to pretend I caused ALL the damages to the car (fortunately the contract was pretty detailed). After nearly 30 min discussing the procedure they charged me 500€ and I am still waiting (6 months later) for the final invoice to close out the case... I am pretty sure that the car is not yet fixed !!

  Sixt Malta charged my credit card after we returned. Having tried to contact them several times they have not yet sent me the requested documentation or even bothered to reply. I recommend not to book with sixt in Malta.

  Quick and painless car rental. I booked online via a rental aggregator site (can't remember which one) the day before I arrived. The desk is to the left as soon as you step out into the arrival area. They had upgraded me to an automatic which was very nice! Would definitely recommend anyone to get an automatic car when driving in Malta. Collecting the car from the car park and dropping it off was similarly easy. Cars ARE allowed to be taken to Gozo on the ferry.
