  The state rooms are a beautiful part of the grandmaster palace. Each room and hall is rich in the cultural and political history of Malta starting from the Knights of Saint John up until now. On entry, you’ll be provided an audio guide for free that’s details the very specific details of the state rooms. Make sure in advance that the state rooms are open and not closed.

  This is the best part of this museum. It's full of interesting rooms and it tells the story of Malta through frescos and state rooms (take the audioguide, it's useful and free of charge).

  Interesting place; still in use by the Maltese government (and accessible to the public, which is a rarity in other countries). Audio guides in several major languages are available. The museum provides a brief introduction to the history of Malta and how it became a republic. All rooms have elaborative decorations. Unfortunately, thanks to the rope barrier, visitors can only peek through the doorway. Audio guide was describing pieces of art which were too far away to see the details or just barely visible at acute angle. This is disappointing, as these rooms are in use.

  Visite assez intéressante, les jardins sont très beaux. Cependant un audioguide ou des panneaux explicatifs seraient indispensables pour comprendre l'intérêt et l'histoire de chaque pièce.
