The alleged home made pasta was not well cooked. They succeeded in making a porc truffle sauce that lacked seasoning. The burgers were dry. The server that attended to our table was unsympathetic from the beginning. On top of it all, when we were politely giving our feedback, he was rude saying that the food should be ok because some of us did eat almost everything. Don't go there!

It was a good place, I went with another 2 friends and we split the price. So making a balance of how much and how satisfying it was, I would say pretty normal just that with atmosphere you get there plus my already mentioned friends it became very enjoyable. Not too crowded in the afternoon

Not impressed... We chose this place as it was recommended in my travel guide. Things must have deteriorated since. It was already a bad sign that the waiter was more interested in preparing the tables than in bringing us the menu. He wasn't overly friendly either and the first thing that he did was listing all the dishes on the menu that weren't available anymore. My husband ordered the Scottish salmon, which was OK (I was just wondering why stress that the salmon is from Scotland when that is several thousand kilometres away? Not exactly ecofriendly and it can't be that fresh either), and I had the nachos, which were pretty disappointing. They can be quite succulent with the right dips and sauces and of course with beans and lots of cheese. This turned out to be a dry affair: a bag of nachos emptied out on a plate, a few pieces of pork, jalapenos and cheese on top of it (not just cheddar, as announced in the menu, but also - the much blander - mozzarella). No coriander, as opposed to the description in the menu. This was accompanied by a stingy portion of Asian-style tomato sauce that was served separately. The whole place struck me as pretentious. Not the value you would expect for the prices you pay there. I also used the toilet: no toilet paper, no paper to dry your hands with. That fit in with the overall impression of a lack of effort...

We came hungry and left satisfied. Quick, easy, good food. Can recommend for a lunch break. Can't recommend for evenings 'cause I haven't been here in the evening. 4 stars overall and the 5th excellency star for the outstanding whisky menu.
