A beautiful and romantic little restaurant within the Cittadella with great views if you choose to sit on the terrace at the top. Our waitress was great and went out of the way to serve us at the terrace even though it was closed beforehand. I had the spaghetti with rabbit sauce which was both delicious and affordable in generous portions. It may be a bit difficult to locate if you don’t know where exactly it is.

Fresh cheese is really nice. As if we have pudding. It’s soft texture and affordable. You are able to drink local LC beer here as well.

I reluctantly give 1 star, not for the place which is 5 star, but because of the way a member of staff,Ayesha, was treated whilst we were there. The lady with the false smile who I presume was in charge ( small oriental lady),who incidentally, got 2orders wrong in the short time we stayed, was vile with the girl who was on her own and being screamed at from both floors. The waitress was run off her feet, competent, polite and trying to please everyone. The "manageress" also moved a gentlemen mid meal to the end of a table near the door to enable a party of 4 to be seated together. I cannot tolerate bullying. The young lady in question is a stunningly beautiful person who would be an asset to any environment. I gave her a hug on the way out and advised her to find another job! Beautiful place but left a bad taste in my mouth!

Ta’ Rikardu’s minimalistic approach to food makes the quality of the food centerpiece. Add really hearty service, wine and you’ve found the heart of Ta’ Rikardu. The menu is rustic and skinny, the food made with love. The fresh homemade cheese is so smooth and nice. We loved it!
