  Lovely little boozer, were sadly Oliver Reed died (apparently while arm wrestling RN sailors). It’s cozy and friendly, with plenty to see on the wall for the lone traveller.

  If you know who Oliver Reed is, then you have to visit, or even a film buff in general. That aside, great spot to stop for some refreshments, usually with people all there for the same reason.

  Would have given 0 stars. Very impatient not given time to look at menu. Our waiter was more interested in watching people walking pass. Would never use again....

  Always wanted to visit The Pub after hearing lots about it. It's a tiny little boozer, however the staff are really friendly and have lots of interesting stories. It's also famous because Oliver Reed died their while filming Oscar winning movie Gladiator. I was told by the barman that pub used to be a chemist and the owner purchased it and turned it into a naval boozer that it is now. When you go inside you can see lots of photos of naval vessels. Plus upstairs you can sign your name on the wall so remember to bring a felt tip marker.

  Great Pub, with an awesome atmosphere! Very decent prices with staff that will give you a very unique visit. Landlords charming and very friendly and will have you enjoying every visit. Great for a pit stop, even better for long hours of drinking. Very wide range of whiskey, rums and gin, with some interesting beers to top it off.
