  We stayed at Dar Il-Bahar. The property is great, Grace the person who welcomed us did a good job (better than I do when I do this sort of job in Scotland). We needed repairs and they were done promptly. However (and this is not Baron Groups fault at all), we were there when the bird hunting season started and were very surprised when guns started firing before dawn on 3 mornings and close enough to the property that gun cartridges fell on the building with a clatter after very loud shots. This would be frightening for children as it was for usl. The law of the land states shooting must be more than 200 m from a residential area, it was so close at times. It is not Baron's fault but staying in a rural area at the wrong time of year.please check out the dates of the hunting seasons. Also make sure you take mosquito repellant, Barons provided lots of screens at windows and plug in devices, we were still bitten quite a bit.

  We stayed at Menzja 1 in Sannat with the Baron Group in Gozo and really loved the property which is very characterful with a beautiful spiral staircase. The pool was a good size and location good for the hotel next door for eating out. We found the staff helpful and friendly and would recommend the company. They are very customer focused, have a good reputation as they have been operating in Gozo for many years and seem to really understand what customers want on a villa holiday.

  Hamlet 2 Further to your response to our comments on Trip Adviser. We would confirm that when we made the booking we were advised that Hamlet 2 & 3 were the only ones on the Island with heated Pools. We have the confirmation e.mails stating that the pools were heated and if you would like us to send you copies please let us have you e,mail address. David Barnes
