  Good place for a lunch - penne-bolognese was only 6,90€!

  We visited Marsaskala for a fortnight recently and had the pleasure of dining at Capotavola Il Gusto nell'Arte on two occasions. We are Italians from Australia and have come from a rich tradition of Italian cuisine. We were very impressed by the warmth and hospitality of Giuseppe, the manager, and his lovely dad, Giovanni.The food was fabulous, very authentic Italian (much more so than the food we had in Italy itself!) For Giuseppe, the creation and presentation of food is an art form in itself. His excitement for the various dishes on the menu is infectious. I can still taste the swordfish, oven baked in a rich tomato, olive and caper sauce. The antipasto platter we shared for a starter was amazing - all ingredients of the best quality. When next you go to this restaurant (and I recommend you do) ask Giuseppe to make you his magic mini-cocktail with limoncello to end the meal. (The other ingredients are secret!) If you are like us, you won't manage a desert, but if you can, there is every tempting traditional Italian sweet you can dream of. When next we visit Marsaskala I sincerely hope that Giuseppe is still operating!
