  The Church of Saint Francis dates back to 1706, and is said to have been one of the first churches which was pillaged by French invaders in 1798. The chapel was restored between April 2015 and June 2016, as part of the Environment Initiative Partnership Programme (EIPP) amounting to over €68,000 in restoration works.
