::We rented an apartment here for a few days whilst over in Malta. This is a great area to visit, there's a lot to do around this area and could keep you occupied for a few days with everything in walking distance. The beach is nice and one of the bigger ones in Malta but fills up quickly. There's lots of watersports to do including scuba diving, snorkeling, jet ski etc. There are lots of places to eat and drink around the beach area - some really nice local dishes as well. Walking up the hill to town (very steep), there are some lovely shops and a lot more restaurants that serve lovely food. I would definitely visit this area again - there are also lots of tours departing from here to Goza etc, the ferry is about 20 minutes walk... there are also busses around other areas of Malta

::Nice Beach, prices are cheap. Sunbeds are ok, little bit outdated. Enough possibilities for a quick bite or drinks. Relax!

::The largest sandy bay in Malta. Overcrowded in summer. Best off season. Trekkers might prefer swimming off the rocky coast and garigue, in past Mellieha Bay Hotel.
