::This small cemetery is well kept and maintained with graves from pre world war 1 upto the 1970s. The volunteer who we met yesterday (ex RAF retired) helped with our questions and help explain the stories of some of the deceased. Worth the visit, but be warned there is no formal parking. A must to help understand the ultimate sacrifice many made. 'We shall remember them. '

::In the valley beneath Mdina and beside the former Royal Navy hospital in Mtarfa is the Imtarfa Military Cemetery, with the former RAF base just down the road. The walled cemetery was first used in 1899, and whilst there are some casualties from WW1 most graves are from WW2. There are some excellent stories to be told and the cemetery also bear signs of the heavy bombings and hardships Malta endured during the WW2. I thoroughly recommend a visit and if you have time book one of the guided tours.
