Stayed here All inclusive for 3 nights. Advertised as 3 star but really is a 2. Rooms are basic but clean. Beds uncomfortable sprung mattress and had 1 flat hard pillow. The food was uninteresting and unappetizing... Repetitive and bland so we ate out, luckily you can get a lovely meal in the bars and restaurants on the bay for around 10 euros, some places do 3 courses and a drink for 15. There's a deposit charge for the TV which is OK but limited channels, the staff at this hotel make it a better experience, they are very helpful and happy, Teodora the receptionist can't do enough for you, lovely girl. I would actually stay here again if I was booking another short trip to the island but obviously as a self catering guest. No frills, simple and pretty basic, needs a lot of tlc to bring it up to standard.

We booked a double room at Canifor hotel three months ago. On our arrival, the staff informed us that we would have to spend our vacation in the Coral hotel instead of Canifor. The fact itself is unbelievable and unacceptable; at first we decided not to complain because we arrived late (our flight was delayed by 2 hours), we were tired and we didn't want to ruin our vacation from the first day itself. In order to compensate for this inconvenience, they upgraded our booking from half board to full board. However, that was not a great asset for two reasons: - people who visit Malta are supposed to wander around the island all day, so they are not going to have lunch at the hotel. They already know that, so they offer you something with the awareness that you're not going to use it. Very unfair, nevertheless, we had lunch one day. The lunch was served in the bar - not in the hotel's restaurant - so the choice of the meal was limited to a few dishes. As a three-star hotel, it is hard to explain why standard facilities and services were not included by the management. Just a few examples below: - Beverages were never included in the meal. They charge you even for the water (2,50€/bottle)!! - They charge even for using the safe; are you serious?! - A fee was charged even for the access to the room fridge - Please note: I said "to have access to the fridge". It was locked. It's OK to pay for the water and snacks inside the fridge, but paying even for opening it, is unbelievable!! Before having the first (and last) lunch there, we asked to exchange the use of strongbox for the full board, but they refused. According to other reviews, moving guests to this property and offering the upgrade is not unusual. So it clearly shows that they deliberately overbook Canifor hotel, and then move guests to Coral offering an upgrade for the "inconvenience". Based on this, it's clear that it was neither an isolated incident nor an inconvenience for them. It was planned from the very beginning. About the service. On our arrival we found two red spots on the bed sheet (blood? lipstick? Who knows...), a roach, and no soap in the bathroom (Were they going to charge for the soap too?! Luckily not). One day we left the room locked, and on our arrival we found it open. After tidying the room, they forgot to lock the room (hence, better pay for the safe!!). Pros: The room was quiet, towels were changed once a day, air conditioning worked properly, and staff were kind and available to help us with almost anything, but this does not change the overall bad experience we had at the property. We definitely do not recommend Coral and its affiliated hotels.

Ok place. Decent standard for decent price. Seems really old fashioned and there is a problem with parking spots.

Food and staff were good , but the rooms and overall look of the hotel not good ,cleaners did a very good job, toilet in Room was blocked and needed six flushes to clear, also two pin plug for TV put in three pin socket,, this hotel needs a full health and safety review in my opinion . Went half board food ok , no much choice, hit and miss at bar if you were all inclusive.
