  We rented two electric bikes for 20 euros each a day. Being keen cyclists in the UK we were excited to try power assisted pedaling and it didn't disappoint, after a few minutes I quickly got the hang of riding the bike and it was great fun. Big hills were almost laughably easy and on our first day we covered 27km of sightseeing with very little effort at 27 degrees centigrade, we didn't even get a sweat on. On the second day, on the way home from a trip to Gozo, my partner's bike got a puncture on the back tire near the valve that couldn't be fixed. We rang Matteo, the owner, who came out as quickly as he could and rescued us. He bought us another bike so we could complete the trip, but we weren't sure we had time to get home before dark so he took us and the bikes back to Bugibba. He is a very kind man and it was lovely to chat to him, we gave him some feedback about the bikes which he was very receptive to, he is clearly very keen to provide excellent customer service. I recommend EcoBikes as a great way to see Malta as they are quicker and much more fun than the buses, with no parking problems unlike hiring a car. But I would suggest planning your route in advance and trying to avoid the biggest roads where possible, I did find it stressful cycling with fast cars zipping past (but I'm not a city cyclist), some roads have cycle paths but they often end suddenly or have obstacles in, not to mention the potholes! All in all I'd say renting bikes from EcoBikes is a fantastic way to meet Malta and we plan to use them on our next visit. They've converted us to electric bikes too!

  I was only staying in Malta for one day so I needed this service to work smoothly. Prior to arriving in Malta, the communication from the company was exceptional as well as the clarity in the way in which the bike would be delivered. The morning of my island ride, I foolishly forgot to adjust my watch +1 hour, therefore I was not outside my hostel for the agreed time. The company phoned several times and even waited for me. They provided me the bike, helmet, lock and panniers as well as a spare tube. Furthermore, at the end of the day, he was happy to pick up the bike earlier than agreed. This was impeccable customer service throughout, Thank you.

  Great little place. The Czech guy working there used to own it. He's very helpful, has fixed my bike loads of times

  Very good MTB's en good service, rented in Winter so there was almost no people. Watch out when biking in Malta, Only a few bike road's so watch the Cars on the street

  Firstly, we would like to thank Ecobikes for being very helpful and kind. We punctured our rear tire after 40 min. of biking, but they came and fixed it as quick as they could, even with a broken arm. This hero saved our day. Thank you for that. About the bikes, we rented two E-bikes, which were brand new. Best decision we could make. We did keep a close eye on the battery levels, but they lasted till the end. It was a 15 km drive to the ferry terminal and we saw a great deal of Gozo. The roads are very hilly a lot of the times, so the extra electric energy is very welcome. Watch out for traffic and glass on the side of the road though. Price: €20/1day, €100/bike. Overall a superb way to discover Malta (especially Gozo). With these bikes you can get to places you normally can't reach by car or bus. It was very nice!
