::Unexpected little gem, unsignposted at the end of the car park for Riviera Bay, itself overshadowed by its more accessible Golden Bay neighbour. The Peace Grove runs along the headland that separates these two bays and consists of olive trees surrounded by conifers. A winding path takes you past a number of sign boards each with either a notable peace campaigner on or with information about the olive Grove itself. Really interesting - and salutary - descriptions of the work and generally violent deaths of the best known figures of recent history who are felt to have furthered the cause of world peace. The setting too is beautiful, especially at sunset.
