  I have been at this hotel for the last 7 years but the standard of the pool area is so poor I shall not be returning... breakfast is reasonable

  Stayed at the Sunflower for a week, the staff were very attentive to our needs, the whole hotel was very clean and well presented. We were on b&b basis and the buffet breakfast was plentiful and well presented every day with fruit, cereal, bread and English breakfast items including eggs, beans, tomatoes and either fried eggs or scrambled on alternate dayscand sausage or bacon on alternate days as well, tea, coffee and juices, all you can eat and drink. We also stayed at the hotel one evening for dinner, which again is on a buffet basis, changing daily and it was also plentiful and very enjoyable, 3 courses at a very competitive price. We will definitely bevreturning to the Sunflower again and would highly recommend it to anyone as a competitively priced hotel.

  It's a quiet place from the party sea-side. Beautiful and great kitchen provides local dishes on any day of the week, they made me ask for recipes and ingredients and the chef shared them. Walking distance from both city centers ensures you enjoy a night out without the noisy tourist areas. A bus stop or two farther away there is a fascinating aquarium worth every minute spent there.

  The hotel room we had was pretty basic even though it was an upgrade! I shudder to think what the original room without the upgrade would have been like. The rooms could be improved with a much needed refurbishment. The evening meal was very good a reasonably priced for what you get. They also catered foe my coeliac needs. Kitchen staff were very friendly advising what I could or not eat. The hotel is convenient my located about 10min walk from seafront, restaurant and hops are a short distance walk away.

  Excellent hotel. We are here til February..The staff are extremely helpful. The food is good with a wide choice. Cater for gluten free and I have a shellfish allergy, they are very aware of that which is extremely reassuring for me..
