  Fantastic little restaurant. Delicious food at a reasonable price with great and attentive service. Would visit again if I ever return to Mdina.

  I thought this was a tourist trap, but this is a GEM. The location is amazing, we had food outside, on a sunny end of February day. We ordered the tuna wrap and the Maltese platter. Very affordable, tasty and filling. Thank you Don Mesquita for making our experience in Mdina more enjoyable. :)

  What a wonderful find. The staff were lovely and the food was outstanding. Maybe the best meal of our 6 day break. We had the Maltese platter for 2 plus an apple and chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was beautiful- not at all sickly and very full of flavour Would recommend this wine bar. The best of the Malta experience

  Piccolo ma accogliente pulito e ben curato , personale molto molto simpatico . Il piatto Maltese è piaciuto a tutti e la Apple pie fatta dalla mamma è squisita . Complimenti per tutto

  My partner and I went here for lunch yesterday, and our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The service was warm, the food and drinks outstanding, and the location was cozy and quiet (and it is where part of Season 1 Game of Thrones was filmed!). We both had the mulled wine for drinks, which is made in-house. It is very strong and fruity, so if you aren't a fan of red wine, orange, and anise, I would give this one a miss. However, I am not a huge anise fan and found it quite delicious. I had the Italian wrap, and my partner had the Maltese wrap; both were outstanding and clearly made with fresh, local ingredients. I would highly recommend either of these dishes. I would forewarn people that this place, like most in the Old City, is small and intimate and traditional in its style. There are a couple of small tables outside in the courtyard, and tables for larger parties downstairs, but downstairs seating requires that you be able to walk down a short spiral staircase. I wish I'd had time to eat more than one meal at this gem of a restaurant; next time I'm in Malta, perhaps!
