::Almost as empty as it is it small, and the few remaining pieces are really bad. The building looks quite nice, but with decent air conditioning, it would be better. In one aphorism: the museum looks half finished, and so does its content. Worst museum ever. Don't lose 10 euros on that.

::Muza, the national art museum in Malta is located just around the corner from the St. John's cathedral and the Upper Barrakka Gardens. It features both local and international artists and both contemporary and traditional art over several floors. There are some fantastic paintings of the waterfront and Maltese history, as well as great sculptures. There is a nice courtyard with access to the restaurant and the coffee shop and bar that us located in the museum. On the ground floor is an exhibition of community artwork which is particularly nice. Make sure you set a side at least an hour and a half for going though the museum and a little more of you plan on lunch as well. If you are into art it is a must see stop on Valletta.

::Beautifully and sensitively restored 16th century mansion originally built to house Italian-speaking knights of the Order of St John and now home to Malta’s National Museum of Art. The collection is an interesting and eclectic mix of paintings, sculpture and prints including interactive digital displays. Mostly Maltese and Italian art from the 17th-century onwards including a section highlighting the period under British rule. Unfortunately some exhibits lack descriptive labels and the positioning of some items needs to be reconsidered. Otherwise a welcome addition to the cultural scene of Valletta.

::It's a really great museum. Totally worth visiting. It is big with lots of interesting exhibits while still maintining consistency forming a modern space for art lovers. The gift shop had really cute stuff. Only problem was that often the lights reflected very much on the paintings thus making it impossible to see what was drawn on them.
