  The car wasn't ready at pick up so ended up just waiting around. When the car arrived a previous renter had crashed it removing the left hand side wing mirror which had been duck taped back on (unsuccessfully) making using the mirror pretty much impossible and useless I asked about having a different car but told this wasn't possible. During the rental the only issue (other than only having 1 wing mirror) was the car was honestly gutless which was an issue and potentially dangerous at times in some smaller roads which could be really quite steep in Malta. On return despite trying for 2+ hours to fill the car up we couldn't as all the fuel stations only took cash (would have been nice to have been told this at pick up.) I had filled the car from empty midweek which cost 48 euros, we paid 1.36 per litre. The car was half full exactly, they wanted 49.72 for a half tank of fuel at a rate of 1.31 pre litre this included a 15 euro admin charge. Which mathematically makes no sense and a shows a huge overcharge. We had little choice which made this much more frustrating at being completely rippled off and completely knowingly so, obviously despite disputing this insanely high charge for so little fuel made no difference. When going to pay for this they tried to charge me 50 euros not 49.72, I know there is little difference here but my god I have just argued I'm being charged to much so your charge me more!? This made a rather unpleasant end to a otherwise good trip. No I wouldn't rent from you again nor recommend Herts, I would retell this story to each and very person who asked me
